Job summary

Dameron Hospital Association is seeking a Security Supervisor to manage scheduling, conduct performance appraisals, and patrol campus facilities including buildings, grounds and parking lots. You will monitor entrances, lock/unlock doors per schedules, and respond to incidents.

  • Experience: 3 years of documented work experience as a Security Officer and or Supervisor in a commercial, industrial or institutional facility.
  • Licenses/Certificates: California Security Guard Card.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains scheduling for the security staff.
  • Conducts performance appraisals on assigned staff
  • Patrols assigned buildings, grounds and parking lots, monitors building entrances and locks/unlocks doors per administrative schedules.
  • Inspects elevators, fire alarms, fire extinguishers and other facilities on a regular basis, prepares inspection reports for monitoring purposes.
  • Responds to calls for assistance and hazardous situations, notifies the Stockton police department in case of emergency, and files related reports.
  • Provides information to visitors, patients, and vendors and directs them to the correct person or department.
  • Coordinates and schedules security training and awareness programs.
  • With the guidance of the local law enforcement agency, conducts Security Assessment of grounds, and buildings.
  • Implements Dameron Hospital mandated security initiatives as required.
  • Handles reported security incidents, investigates, prepares written incident reports.
  • Assists Dameron Hospital departments to identify security requirements, complete required state reports and statistics collection.
  • Serves as liaison with various state and local fire and safety officials and DHA departments.
  • Maintains awareness and participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) to ensure a safe patient environment.
  • Attends and actively participates in team conferences and staff meetings.
  • Participates actively in orientation and on-the-job training of assigned personnel.
  • Adheres to all Dameron Hospital Association policies and procedures, safety rules, JCAHO standards, Department of Health Services (DHS) regulations and any other regulatory agency.
  • Provides methodology for dissemination of information providing opportunities for discussions of division problems, orientation of new projects, procedures, etc.
  • Performs all tasks demonstrating service orientation to fellow employees and staff members to provide excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrates, supports and models the mission, vision, values and rules of conduct of Dameron Hospital Association.
  • Communicates appropriately and effectively to support the department mission.
