Job summary

Greenspring Village by Erickson Senior Living in Springfield, VA, is seeking a Supervisor of Security and Emergency Services for full-time overnight coverage from 7pm to 7am. You will lead a dedicated team, manage gatehouse operations, patrols, access control, and incident reporting, and coordinate with the SES Manager on emergency plans.

The role requires at least 2 years of public safety supervisory experience and 1 year in an Emergency Responder role, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Public safety supervisory experience (fire/EMS/law enforcement) of at least 2 years.
• At least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Responder role.
• Current valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead security and emergency services for the community, including gatehouse, patrols, access control, visitor/contractor registration, and key management.
• Monitor safety programs and conduct department safety inspections, incident responses, and hazard communications.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Emergency Preparedness Plans with SES Manager.
• Ensure completion of Incident Reports and shift reports; respond to calls for service.
• Provide hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations; manage schedules and timesheets.

From training and compliance oversight to investigations and emergency response planning, you'll play a key role in enhancing the resident experience and supporting a thriving community.

• Compensation: $31.00 - $33.00 per hour, based on experience

How you will make an impact

• Responsible for the security of the community through the use of gatehouse, patrols, access control, visitor/contractor registration, key management, and other programs
• Monitor safety programs to include; Security Department safety inspections, responses to workplace accidents, hazard communication programs, respiratory mask fit testing programs, and others as needed
• Partner with SES Manager to update and maintain the Emergency Preparedness Plans
• Ensure completion of Incident Reports, daily shift reports and responds to calls for service
• Assist in hiring, training, coaching, counseling of employees
• Establish schedules, reviews and approves timesheets, completes performance evaluations
• Provide daily leadership, supervision, motivation, and communication to direct and indirect reports

What you will need

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in public safety supervisory (Fire/EMS/Law Enforcement) or comparable supervisory experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an Emergency Responder role
• Current valid driver’s license
