Job summary

Maximus Global Services is seeking a Security Supervisor for Orlando International Airport (MCO). You will oversee day-to-day security operations, ensuring staffing, PPE, and compliance with TSA and CBP regulations.

Ideal candidate has TSA security experience, ability to audit programs, and strong English communication. This is a full-time position with benefits including PTO, training, and retirement plan.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day security operations for gates, catering, ramp, doors and search areas.
• Ensure security agents are prepared and assigned to all services.
• Deliver plans and assignments to the team before shifts begin.
• Ensure personnel have necessary PPE and coverage for services.
• Prepare for TSA or airline audits and strive for a 100% pass score.
• Conduct random security tests of search and catering areas.
• Ensure compliance with TSA, CBP and airport security procedures.
• Update leads/coordinators and personnel on operational changes.
• Address issues with personnel, operations and clients.
• Ensure training is current and communicated to management.
• Deliver end-of-shift reports with a full operational recap.

Objective and Essential Duties:

A Supervisor of Maximus Global Services is responsible for overseeing and ensuring day‑to‑day operations for the security areas (gates, catering, ramp, door, search). The Supervisor’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure their security agents are prepared for the services and all employees are in place.

• Plans and prepares the operation at least one day prior. Adjustments should be made with sufficient time. Including wheelchair count, flight status, personnel needed for all services.
• Deliver plans and assignments to the team prior to start of operations.
• Ensure personnel has the necessary PPE.
• Ensure coverage for services
• Prepare for any audit program (TSA or Airline) and ensure audits are pass with a 100% score
• Do random security test for the search area and catering.
• Ensure all employees follow security procedures for each entity, such as TSA, CBP and any other airport where Maximus Global Services operates.
• Update Leads/Coordinators and personnel on any irregularities/changes to operations
• Address any issues with personnel, operations and clients.
• Ensure personnel training is current.
• Communicate to management any irregularities and/or operational requests.
• Deliver end‑of‑shift report to management with a full recap of the operation.

Requirements:

• Previous experience is required on TSA regulations, audit program and airport security.
• Pass a background check and Drug Test.
• Computer literacy in MS Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Maintain a relationship with both employees and clients.
• Supervisors must have a good working knowledge of management practices and principles so they can efficiently perform their job.
• The job requires someone with critical thinking skills who can quickly observe a situation and make the appropriate response.
