Overview

The Security Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Director of Security in ensuring the smooth operation of the Security Department. This role involves providing attentive, friendly, efficient, and courteous service to all guests, ensuring a safe and secure environment throughout their stay, and protecting hotel guests, staff, and property. The Security Supervisor maintains an appropriate level of security in an open-access environment that does not impede business flow or customer service.

Responsibilities

1. Perform oversight audits of all security-related vulnerabilities. Use observation and security audits to recommend corrective actions to the Director of Security.
2. Identify vulnerabilities related to physical security, operational processes, and personnel. Use observations and audits to suggest corrective measures.
3. Ensure corrective actions are implemented by addressing identified vulnerabilities and deficiencies.
4. Assist in the development and implementation of security education and motivational programs designed to reinforce employee training, maintain high levels of motivation, and ensure safety and security for employees and customers.
5. Track and investigate losses internally and externally; provide accurate and timely investigative reports to senior management.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisor experience is preferred.
• Long hours may be required.
• Heavy physical effort – exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
• Ability to climb stairs, descend stairs, and run.
• Knowledge and physical ability to perform less-than-lethal defensive and offensive tactics.
