Job summary

GDI Security Services is hiring for a security officer to monitor premises, complete detailed reports, and maintain high security standards. The role involves patrolling, communicating effectively, and using security software to annotate events.

The position requires prior security-related experience, familiarity with security equipment, and the ability to stand or walk during patrols. Great opportunity for advancement and stable hours.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience in security, military, law enforcement or related field.
• Familiar with basic security equipment and procedures.
• Able to stand/walk for patrols and perform light physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions.
• Fill out detailed reports after shifts or events.
• Review reports and communicate findings effectively.
• Thoroughly inspect doors, windows, and gates for proper function and security.
• Warn violators and report issues such as hazards or leaks.
• Coordinate with emergency personnel when needed.
• Use provided software to annotate events during shifts.
• Conduct regular property patrols as directed by management.
• Work as part of a team and assist in hiring processes for new staff.

Pay: $19.00 per hour WEEKLY PAY!

Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm (Monday - Friday)

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Fill out reports with high level of detail.
• Review reports and communicate effectively.
• Proficient with computer.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
• Successfully use the provided software to annotate events that occur during shift.
• Make regular trips around the property and scan the pre-determined points as directed by management.
• Work as part of a team
• Complete interviews and complete hiring process for new employees

Requirements:

• Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or other related fields
• Familiarity with security equipment
• Ability to handle a light physical workload. Ability to stand and/or walk assigned patrols.
• Strong attention to detail
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• Meet and continuously maintain grooming standards.
• Have a reliable means of transportation and a valid driver's license!
