Job summary

City of Faith is seeking a Security Operations Manager to lead security staff, schedule round-the-clock coverage, and maintain rigorous records for residents under the direction of the Security and Facility Directors.

The role requires strong adherence to policies, independent decision-making, and interaction with various criminal justice partners.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in correctional supervision or correctional management of incarcerated offenders.
• A bachelor’s degree in a Social or Behavioral Science field is acceptable in place of training and/or experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of correctional techniques.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Security Staff, sanitation at the facility, training and scheduling of staff.
• Maintains accurate records and reports on residents as deemed by the Director.
• Participates in weekly referral staffing and internal audits.
• Represents the COF at professional conferences and university events when required.
• Ensures urinalysis screening program integrity and documentation.

# Security SupervisorOnsiteBaton Rouge, Louisiana, USPosted On:07-Jul-2026Job Type:Full TimeDepartment:Baton Rouge - SecurityExperience:5-6 yearShare this Job:Apply**POSITION DESCRIPTION: SECURITY OPERATIONS MANAGER** I.INTRODUCTION Functions under the direct supervision of the Security Director and Facility Director, however, has considerable latitude in making independent professional decisions and recommendations for actions that can have serious impact on residents lives. Provides direction and guidance to all staff utilizing sound correctional practices and procedures. The duties of this position require direct constant contact with individuals in confinement who are suspected or convicted of offenses against the criminal laws of the United States. This position has continuous contact with residents, staff and other criminal justice agencies and is required to be responsive to their needs. This position is a paraprofessional role involving interpersonal and technical skills. Personnel may be required to work weekends and rotating shifts. Work is performed inside and outside of the facility depending on the nature of the assignment. II.RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES Oversees Security Staff, sanitation at the facility, training and scheduling of staff. Has direct responsibility for the security of the facility and the security supervision of all residents. Collaborates with the Director in the design and execution of studies determining program effectiveness and the need for modifications and improvement. Communicate & Strategize with Facility Directors. Maintain accurate and current records and reports on all residents as deemed necessary by the Director. Observe, record, and report any conduct of residents which is in violation of the policies and procedures of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Must be familiar with the center’s emergency plans of the center. Is subject to call in cases of emergency. III.SPECIFIC DUTIES* Has Primary responsibility for LMA – Lead, Manage and Accountability* Schedule all personnel to ensure that trained, physically able, paid staff is on duty twenty-four hours a day.* Complete staff evaluation on all Resident Security staff members.* Participate in weekly referral staffing.* Participate in internal audits.* Develops and fosters a positive interaction between the City of Faith and other criminal justice agencies.* May represent the City of Faith at professional conferences, and university sponsored events.* Knowledge of Federal Bureau of Prison disciplinary policies and procedures.* Knowledge of Federal Bureau of Prison Statement of Work.* Ensure that random checks on residents and residents on pass or furlough to confirm their location are accomplished and proper documentation is completed.* Has direct responsibility for all aspects of the urinalysis screening program.* Develops and conducts training in correctional techniques and practices.* Collaborates with Case Management in contacting residents on Home Confinement Status.* Ensure that searches of the facility, personal belongings, and vehicles are accomplished in accordance with SOW standards.* Ensure that proper documentation required of the position in compete and accurate.* Review Security Staff documentation to ensure quality and completeness.* Attend company meetings and represent COF at designated events.* All other duties as assigned.IV.DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE. ABILITIES AND SKILLS This position requires a demonstrated ability to follow detailed policies and procedures. Possess the ability to work independently and to function without close supervision and supervise staff members and residents. Demonstrated ability in interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally. Ability to influence offenders’ attitudes and actions toward phases of the correctional program, and to serve as an appropriate role model. This position requires a valid driver’s license. Must be familiar with the City of Faith emergency plan, and with the physical plans of the facility. Is subject to call in cases of emergency. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and ability to navigate online programs.
