Job summary

ProSync Technology Group, LLC is seeking a Mid-Level PERSEC Security Specialist to support critical personnel security programs responsible for managing security clearances, access authorizations, and compliance with government personnel security requirements in DoD and IC environments.

The role collaborates with employees, government stakeholders, and security professionals to maintain accurate records, coordinate with security offices, and implement security policy updates.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in personnel security or related disciplines.
• Experience with security clearance administration for government or contractor environments.
• Knowledge of DoD/IC security regulations and access control requirements.
• Active IAT/IAM Level II certification is required (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CISSP, etc.).
• Top Secret/SCI clearance or higher with SAP/SAR eligibility is required.

This position serves as a key contributor to the administration and oversight of personnel security activities while ensuring compliance with Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and agency-specific security policies. The ideal candidate possesses experience managing personnel security programs and enjoys working directly with employees, government stakeholders, and security professionals in support of mission-critical operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
A Mid-Level PERSEC Security Specialist will be tasked with the following:

• Administer personnel security programs supporting classified programs, facilities, and mission operations.
• Process, track, and manage personnel security actions including security clearances, access requests, indoctrinations, debriefings, and reinvestigation requirements.
• Review and evaluate personnel security documentation to ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and policies.
• Coordinate with government security offices regarding clearance eligibility, access determinations, reciprocity, and adjudicative actions.
• Maintain personnel security databases, records, and tracking systems to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Conduct personnel security reviews, audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities involving personnel security requirements and access control procedures.
• Assist with responding to personnel security inquiries from employees, management, and government customers.
• Investigate and document personnel security incidents, reporting requirements, and potential security concerns.
• Develop reports, metrics, briefings, and status updates regarding personnel security program activities.
• Provide guidance on personnel security processes, requirements, and compliance obligations.
• Support implementation of security policy updates, procedural improvements, and best practices.

• Three (3) or more years of experience supporting personnel security, security clearance administration, access management, government security operations, or related disciplines.
• Experience processing and managing personnel security actions within government, DoD, Intelligence Community, or contractor environments.
• Knowledge of personnel security regulations, clearance processes, and access control requirements.
• Experience maintaining personnel security records and supporting compliance reviews or audits.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience supporting classified programs or facilities preferred.
• Must hold an active IAT/IAM Level II certification. (i.e. Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GICSP, GSEC, CND, CCNA Security, CASP+/SecurityX, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCNP Security, CCSP, etc.)
• A minimum Top Secret/SCI security clearance or higher with SAP/SAR eligibility is required to be considered for this position.
  

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university (OR) an Associate’s Degree plus 4 years of additional relevant work experience may be substituted. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of additional relevant work experience may be substituted.
