Job summary

SNC is seeking a Security Specialist III to support its multifaceted security program, including personnel security, document control, physical security and investigations. You will safeguard sensitive information, assist with compliance, and provide security awareness training to personnel at a high security level.

Ideal candidates hold a TS/SCI clearance and demonstrate strong regulatory knowledge, attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration to maintain secure operations and project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Active security clearance and ability to obtain/maintain SCI or SAP accesses.
  • Detailed understanding of security regulations, compliance and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of 32 CFR 117: NISPOM or SCI/SAP regulations.
  • Strong verbal and electronic communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

  • Provide security customer support to SNC personnel, visitors and customers.
  • Manage and enhance administrative security processes.
  • Manage classified materials, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Support the development and implementation of security compliance procedures.
  • Conduct security awareness education and training activities.

As a Security Specialist III, you will support all facets of SNC's Security Program, including personnel security, document control, physical security, and security investigations. You will be responsible for safeguarding sensitive information and assets, supporting security awareness and training and participating in compliance assessment activities. You will also have the opportunity to expand your security knowledge across a wide range of security disciplines and participate in internal security working groups and special project initiatives.

Responsibilities

Qualifications You Must Have


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in a related field.

  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.

  • Active security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain any Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) or Special Access Programs (SAP) accesses required for the role.

  • Detailed understanding of security regulations, compliance and best practices.

  • Working knowledge of 32 CFR 117: National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) or SCI/SAP regulations applicable to the role.

  • Strong verbal and electronic communication skills.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Active Top Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain & maintain TS/SCI


Qualifications We Prefer


  • Experience in the Military or Aerospace and Defense industry.

  • Advanced knowledge of industrial security practices.

  • Experience with security information management systems.

  • Experience with access control/visit control/badge management systems and software.

  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) regulations.

  • Experience with SCI or SAP Security.

  • Defense Information System for Security (DISS)/National Industrial Security System (NISS) experience.


Essential Functions


  • Must be able to handle classified information securely. **Remove for Technical Security Specialist

  • Ability to work in an office environment, with occasional travel as required.

  • Capable of sitting for extended periods and working on a computer.

  • Dexterity to handle documents and perform electronic data entry.
