Job summary

Oaklawn seeks a Security Officer to monitor property, enforce regulations, and respond to incidents while providing excellent guest service in a dynamic casino environment. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year security or similar experience preferred.
• Guest service experience is a must.
• Ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues in a diplomatic manner.
• Ability to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor property and control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and provide safety escorts as designated.
• Enforce underage gambling and drinking laws.
• Conduct security post inspections and log incidents.
• Prepare security incident reports and maintain logs.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional appearance at all times.
• Communicate effectively with team members and guests.
• Follow safety and emergency procedures.
