Job summary

Target is hiring a Security Specialist in Oregon to help protect guests, team members, and assets. The role involves intelligence-led security, crisis response, de-escalation, and surveillance, with emphasis on teamwork and flexible hours.

Training is provided, and candidates should be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent. The position requires using Target's video surveillance system and documenting incidents in our case management system, while maintaining a safe and friendly store

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state/local licensure requirements related to the position.
• Ability to communicate on handheld devices and with guests and teammates.
• Capable of working independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with needs to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Respond to security incidents and document cases promptly in the case management system.
• Monitor store activity using security cameras and patrol as needed.
• Assist with theft prevention and merchandise accuracy per AP policies.
• Collaborate with team members and leaders to maintain a safe environment.
