Job summary

Insight Global, LLC's Industrial Security team in Seattle seeks an entry-level Industrial Security Specialist I to support DoD clearance compliance, protect corporate assets, and help safeguard personnel in a fast-growing IT staffing environment.

You will conduct onboarding for cleared staff, grant access, debrief upon termination, handle VARs/VALs, read clearance records in DISS/NBIS, and maintain IG SAMS verifications, under supervision while developing your security expertise.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Entry-level (0-1 years) Personnel Security experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and task management tools.

Become an integral part of Corporate Operations team as a member of Industrial Security at Insight Global, LLC. You will help protect national security, corporate assets, and employees within the fastest growing IT Staffing firm in the United States with great growth and advancement opportunities. You will assist, as part of the Industrial Security Team, in the administration of all aspects of Personnel, Communications, Information Security within the National Industrial Security Program compliant placement of highly qualified IT and AF&E professionals in positions with other contractor companies and government agencies.

Industrial Security Specialist I Responsibilities Include:

• Completing entry-level personnel security management functions utilizing the current DoD clearance management database of record, DISS, as well as NBIS, such as:
  • Conducting basic onboarding procedures for cleared employees.
  • Granting appropriate accesses.
  • Debriefing cleared employees when terminated.
  • Submitting Visit Access Requests (VARs) & Visit Authorization Letters (VALs)
  • Be able to accurately read a clearance record in DISS/NBIS and complete Clearance Verifications (CV) in IG SAMS.
• Work closely with SS2 and Team Leads to complete job tasks
• Contribute to the development of solutions to unique and difficult situations and challenges.
• Gain understanding/education on clearance investigations (SF86’s) at all levels.
• Performing self-audits of individual work to ensure NISP compliance.
• Completing entry-level personnel security program documentation and assisting in the development and enforcement of personnel security guidelines.
• Deliver work in a timely manner under guidance.
• Focuses on learning and honing individual skills.
• Assist in execution of strategies set by the team.
• Contribute to Industrial Security long-term planning.
• Other duties as required by operations and departmental needs.

Position Requirements:

• Must have ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Must have entry level (0-1 years) Personnel Security experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and task management solutions, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
• Must be capable of working as a team member or independently with little supervision.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Be highly flexible and capable of operating in an extremely fluid environment.
• Must have in-depth knowledge in personnel security for processing individuals needing Department of Defense (DoD) clearances.
• Must possess good oral communication skills and have experience conducting briefings/debriefings when required and be able to effectively interface with contractor employees, and internal employees.
• Required to update and maintain the overall clearance/access Defense Information Security System (DISS & NBIS) and in-house personnel security folders daily.
• Completion of CDSE or other related courses considered a plus.
