Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is hiring a Security Specialist to deliver protective services for assigned programs and external clients, and to support policy improvements and threat assessment. You will lead initiatives across disciplines with strong written and verbal communication.

Required: Bachelor's degree with security experience (or equivalent), CPP within 2 years; valid driver's license. Exempt, full-time schedule, 80 hours per pay period; some flexibility for 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

Security Specialists provide security services for the assigned program(e.g., threat assessment/management, intelligence, security technology, workplace violence, education and training) or special projects/assignments to all Mayo functions and entities, and to external clients as directed. Security Specialists may also be required to research or revise security-related policies, procedures or standards and apply structured improvement methodologies.

Qualifications

Additional Experience and/or Qualifications: Security Specialists must demonstrate strong ability in leadership, personal interaction, time management, assessments, analysis, ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and project administration, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Licensure/Certification Required: Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation, or equivalent, required within two years of date of employment. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Mayo Clinic Policy.

$80,184.00 - $112,257.60 per year; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
