Job summary

FedEx Logistics seeks a regional security leader to manage on-site security programs protecting people, assets, and brand at the Richfield, Ohio location. You will conduct risk assessments, respond to urgent security matters, and lead investigations into incidents including workplace violence and losses.

You will coordinate with law enforcement and regulatory agencies, monitor surveillance and access control systems, and train partners on security best practices. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field as specified.
  • Three years of related corporate security experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills; ability to prepare detailed reports.
  • Must maintain valid driver's license.

Job Description Summary:
  • Serves as primary regional security resource, supporting on-site security programs focused on protecting people, assets, and brand integrity.
  • Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, managing urgent incidents, and leading investigations into workplace violence, fraud, and losses.
  • Acts as liaison with law enforcement and regulatory agencies, and oversees on-site security technologies.
  • Tracks key metrics, mitigates risks, and assists in training business partners on security best practices.
Essential Functions:
  • Leads district level security program efforts, ensuring the safety and security of our People, Assets, and Brand within the assigned location.
  • Encompasses strategic security planning at specific assigned location(s).
  • Key responsibilities include security risk assessments, response to urgent security matters, lead investigations into incidents involving potential workplace violence, security breaches, losses, fraud, or integrity concerns through interviews and evidence reviews.
  • Serves as liaison with law enforcement and governmental regulatory agencies, to support investigations and compliance efforts.
  • Monitors security plans and technologies, including surveillance cameras and access control systems.
  • Tracks and reports on established key security program goals and metrics, and addresses gaps or physical security concerns.
  • Assists department’s efforts in training business partners on security best practices.
  • Initiates in-person/on-site visits with customers as needed to review and formulate action plans related to various security shipping concerns, including but not limited to lost, pilfered and/or damaged shipments.
  • Maintains a broad and thorough knowledge base across all regulatory areas, to include TSA and FAA, company policies, and IC/ISP agreements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree/Equivalent in directly related field. Related fields may include corporate security, audit, military, law enforcement, transportation or supply chain loss prevention, loss analytics.
Minimum Experience:
  • Three (3) years related experience required in corporate security, audit, military, law enforcement, transportation or supply chain loss prevention, and/or loss analytics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal communication, writing skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft based computer programs and the ability to prepare detailed reports.
  • Ability to complete required training programs.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicle.
Job Conditions:
  • Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • If required to carry a firearm as part of job duties, subject to random drug testing.
  • Works in an industrial environment and must adhere to all safety considerations.
  • Travel may be necessary.
Work/Domicile Location:
  • This position will be onsite in Richfield, Ohio.

The compensation listed reflects the pay range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position at the posted location or locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the pay information represents the ranges for each level in that job family. Actual pay is determined by several job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, including, but not limited to, experience relative to the job, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment. In California, the compensation listed reflects the range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position upon hire. In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.

Pay:

Minimum: $35.49/hr - Maximum: $53.24/hr
