We are looking for a Security Specialist to support the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC)/ TIEL lab.

The Security Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing security programs that protect classified, proprietary, and sensitive information in an industrial or manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with government regulations (such as NISPOM or ITAR), company policies, and industry standards. The Specialist oversees physical security measures, personnel clearances, access control systems, and incident response efforts to safeguard both physical and information assets against unauthorized access, theft, or sabotage.

Your Day-to-day Work Will Include

Managing all security disciplines within an accredited environment.
Developing, implementing, and enforcing security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
Assessing the effectiveness of implemented physical security controls to ensure adequate protection measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access into the environment.
Managing access roster and issuing identification badges.
Conducting self-inspections twice a year using the Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency inspection checklist. Attending staff call meetings to synchronize security efforts and provide mission updates. Assisting with conducting investigations of Security Infractions/Violations to determine the sequence of events and degree of information compromise, root cause, and culpability on the part of the individuals or organizations involved. Making classification determinations to ensure material is properly marked.
Responding to after-hours alarm activations that occur within your assigned area.
Performs other duties as assigned.

At a Minimum You Should Have

An active Secret security clearance with a Tier 3 investigation.
5+ years of relevant work experience. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Working knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and Defense Information System for Security (DISS).

You Will Be Highly Desirable If You Have

An active Top Secret security clearance with a Tier 5 investigation.
6+ years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor of Science in Security Management or Criminal Justice.
DoD Security Program Integration Professional Certification (SPIPC) or DoD Physical Security Certification (PSC).
American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) Physical Security Professional (PSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
Prior experience as a Government Security Specialist or Contractor Program Security Officer.
