Systems Technology & Research, Inc. (STaR) seeks a Security Specialist in the Huntsville, AL area to support an Army Project Office at Redstone Arsenal. You will develop, implement, and oversee a multi-disciplined security program protecting sensitive information.

The role requires autonomy, expert knowledge across security disciplines, and the ability to engage with senior leadership to defend security findings and recommendations.

• Provide general counterintelligence support, including expertise in Foreign Disclosure, Operations Security (OPSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), and TEMPEST.
• Coordinate and conduct comprehensive security inspections, investigations, inquiries, and staff assistance visits, providing detailed reports and corrective action recommendations.
• Review technical data and provide recommendations to the Government Team Lead regarding Security Classification Guides (SCGs). Help identify and catalog Critical Program Information (CPI).
• Draft findings, reports, and recommended corrective actions for government resolution and decision.

(STaR) is seeking a Security Specialist in the Huntsville, AL area to support an Army Project Office located at Redstone Arsenal, AL. to provide comprehensive security support, responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of a multi-disciplined security program designed to protect critical national security information. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and expertise in a variety of security disciplines.

This opportunity is an in-person/on-site position.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with 10 years' experience in within a DoW security environment.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Expert knowledge of commonly applied multi-functional security principles, concepts, and methodologies.
• Demonstrated skill in applying security knowledge to design, plan, and execute complex projects.
• Strong analytical skills to review, analyze, and resolve a variety of conventional and complex security problems.
• Deep understanding of intelligence community missions, functions, and unique security requirements.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to present, defend, and justify findings to senior leadership.

Security Clearance Requirement:

• Clearance Level: Must possess a current Secret security clearance.
• TS/SCI Eligibility: Must be eligible for access to Top-Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a T5 or equivalent investigation.
• Citizenship: This position requires U.S. Citizenship

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor a multi-disciplined security countermeasures program to protect collateral and/or classified information.
• Provide general counterintelligence support, including expertise in Foreign Disclosure, Operations Security (OPSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), and TEMPEST.
• Coordinate and conduct comprehensive security inspections, investigations, inquiries, and staff assistance visits, providing detailed reports and corrective action. recommendations.
• Review technical data and provide recommendations to the Government Team Lead regarding Security Classification Guides (SCGs). Help identify and catalog Critical Program Information (CPI).
• Conduct preliminary administrative reviews of potential security infractions. Draft findings, reports, and recommended corrective actions for government resolution and decision.
• Develop, update, and deliver security training materials, briefings, and administrative onboarding support to PMO personnel under the direction of the government lead.
• Review foreign visit requests and international data transfer packages for compliance with established disclosure policies. Formulate administrative recommendations for the Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO).
• Assist in conducting security self-inspections. Document discrepancies and track corrective actions to completion under government oversight.
• Support the identification of CPI by analyzing the various UAS system architecture, technical baselines, and engineering designs to recommend elements meeting CPI criteria. Assist with CPI Assessments, vulnerability analyses, and threat assessments to support the development of the Program Protection Plan (PPP).
• Serve as a subject matter expert, providing advice and guidance on the protection of classified information to various supported organizations.
• Provide broad, multidiscipline security support covering Information, Personnel, Industrial, Physical, and Security Awareness, Training, and Education (SETA).
