Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is recruiting for a Cybersecurity - Security Control Assessor Representative (SCA-R) to join our Huntsville-based team supporting DoD programs at Redstone Arsenal. This full-time, on-site role requires a DoD TS/SCI/SCI security clearance and extensive RMF/JSIG risk assessment experience.

You will lead threat and risk assessments, validate controls, develop improvement plans, and present briefings to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• 15 years of cybersecurity experience including RMF/JSIG and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead data gathering, threat, vulnerability, risk, and maturity assessments.
• Develop plans to improve the risk management program and drive continuous improvement.
• Independently execute Cybersecurity Controls Validation Test events and assessments of software/hardware.
• Prepare and present reports and briefings to SCA/AO.
• Perform security inspections and identify discrepancies; prepare reports.
• Support CONUS courier duties as needed.

Clearance: Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) / SCI security clearance

Summary/Objective

Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team.

Essential Functions

• Leads data gathering, research, and analysis while conducting threat, vulnerability, risk, and maturity assessments.
• Applies critical thinking, develops plans for the improvement of the risk management-related program and contributes to constant innovation and improvement.
• Independently executes Cybersecurity Controls Validation Test events, Cybersecurity assessment of system authorization packages, software and hardware, and Cybersecurity Risk Assessment tasks.
• Develops plans to support Controls Validation Test events.
• Performs, or supports, security inspections, identifying security discrepancies and prepares reports.
• Prepares and presents briefings to SCA/AO.
• Prepares various forms associated with their duties.
• Performs courier duties within the continental United States (CONUS).
• Performs objective reviews on all documentation encountered during performance of duties.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
• Four (4) years’ experience (in addition to minimum experience requirements) may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• 15+ years of experience of Cybersecurity field experience
• DoD 8570.01-M Information IAT III or IASAE III prior to accepting position
• Extensive Risk Management Framework / JSIG and cybersecurity risk assessment experience.
• Capable of independently executing Cybersecurity Controls Validation Test events, Cybersecurity assessment of software and hardware, and Cybersecurity Risk Assessment tasks.
• Ability to obtain indoctrination into Special Access Programs
