Job summary

Harvard Protection Services in New York City is seeking a Security Site Supervisor to lead a portfolio of client accounts and ensure delivery of professional security and life safety services.

You will supervise security personnel, coordinate daily operations, manage scheduling, training, and reporting, and respond to emergencies while maintaining strong customer relations.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years civilian law enforcement or private or corporate security experience.
• 2-4+ years military experience with a favorable discharge.
• Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise security personnel to meet customer expectations.
• Schedule, train, coach, and mentor staff; manage daily operations.
• Maintain timekeeping records and prepare reports; oversee incident logs.
• Assist in emergencies and ensure adherence to emergency procedures.
• Prepare weekly, bi-weekly and monthly manager reports.
• Procure, process and maintain uniforms and equipment.

Job Summary

Our Site Supervisors Our Security Supervisors support Harvard Protection in our goal of providing best in class security and life safety services. Our Supervisors are responsible for providing professional customer-focused security and life safety services for the people and the property they protect and our employees that they lead. Position is responsible for day-to-day leadership and supervision of a portfolio of customer accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

A true Leadership position

• Ensure quality services are provided to meet customer expectations and contract requirements
• Regularly inspect, supervise, train, coaching, mentor, and lead security personnel assigned to the facility/building
• Perform operations related functions that include; scheduling, overtime management, review of daily logs and incident reports, training and development of staff
• Assist in monitoring/developing staff performance to include supervision, evaluations, disciplinary matters, training, scheduling, callouts, assigning work
• Assist in maintaining up to date and accurate timekeeping systems and records for staff
• Provide immediate response to emergencies and issues that arise
• Follow and coordinate established emergency response, action planning and procedures
• Maintain availability and to portfolio of accounts assigned
• May be required to initiate preliminary investigations into incidents
• Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, as required
• Prepare required weekly, bi-weekly and monthly manager reports
• Assist to procure, process and maintain uniforms and equipment
• The essential duties and responsibilities may differ by customer location assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• State or municipality mandated security officer licenses
• Candidates should possess some of the following verifiable experiences;
  • 1-3+ years civilian law enforcement or private or corporate security experience
  • 2-4+ years military experience with a favorable discharge
• Must have reliable means of communication and transportation
• Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service environment
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and problem solve
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office
