Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; college – level training is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
• Must have outstanding interpersonal communication, organizational, planning and documentation skills.
• Must be able to handle customer inquiries on behalf of the Security Department.
• Must have excellent computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft software products such as Word, Excel and Project.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, lift, grip tools, and utilize a computer without limitation.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written and capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic work environment.
• Must hold a Valid Motor Vehicle License with good driving record.
• Must be at least 21 yrs or older.
• Must be capable of CPR/ AED/ First Aid certification and Indiana Horse Racing Commission licensure.
• Also, must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of Racing Security and department staff; coordinates training and scheduling.
• Adheres to Indiana Horse Racing Commission regulations and promotes customer-oriented service.
• Provides basic security coverage to protect patrons, team members, vendors, and company assets.
• Attends meetings and is available for on-call situations.
• May perform multiple security staff functions across various areas as needed per IHRC guidelines.
