Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor in Palo Alto, CA. The role requires supervising the security team, training new officers, and ensuring client security requirements are met during each shift.

Qualifications

• State security license and BSIS 32-hour training required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year of security supervisor experience; two preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the security team on your shift.
• Train new officers.
• Help manage schedules to avoid dark posts during your shift.
• Act as liaison between staff and management, ensuring client security requirements are met.
• Customer service duties like welcoming, verifying identity, and guiding visitors.
• Manage access control.
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.

As a Security Officer - Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

• Set schedule: Full-time / Saturday - Wednesday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

• Supervise the security team on your given shift

• Act as a liaison between staff and management, ensuring client security requirements are met

Qualifications of Security Shift Supervisor

• You have a state security license and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Must have at minimum one year of security supervisor experience. Preferably two years
• Must have 21 years of age or older
• Must have active driver's license
• Please include your most up to date security supervisor resume
• First aid certification is an asset
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience - even better!
