Responsibilities

  • Provides guest service to internal and external guests.
  • Assists in hiring, training, coaching, mentoring and directing staff.
  • Creates an environment of support and motivation for team members.
  • Supports department standards, guidelines and objectives; manages budget and staffing for efficient operation.
  • Oversees loss prevention functions and security of assets on the casino floor.
  • Trains, selects and develops staff; schedules and directs personnel.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, rules and company policies.
  • Leads investigations or supervises investigations conducted by subordinates.
  • Implements systems to ensure federal, state and company rule compliance.
  • Identifies and controls risks and threats to safety and assets.
  • Detains persons for probable cause and coordinates with law enforcement and gaming officials.
  • Maintains company-wide key controls and directs security assignments.
  • Resolves problems within authority and escalates as needed.
  • Manages subordinates with direction, coordination and performance evaluation.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Reviews subordinate work for adherence to standards.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the efficient operation of the Security Department shift assigned.

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

  • Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests. Demonstrates #PositiveLife culture in all interactions with guests and co-workers.
  • Assists in hiring motivating , training, coaching, mentors, and directing staff to ensure that Team Members receive leadership, guidance, and resources to accomplish established objectives.
  • Responsible for creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.
  • Assists with the establishment of department standards, guidelines and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.
  • Responsible for the loss prevention functions of the complex, including company assets on the casino floor, customer and employee security and safety on their shift.
  • Assists with the training, selecting, and developing of staff, scheduling and directing.
  • Ensures all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the company are firmly and fairly enforced.
  • Responsible for all investigations or supervision of all investigations performed by subordinates assigned to the Security Department.
  • Implements systems to ensure compliance with federal, state and company rules and regulations.
  • Identifies and controls risks and threats to the safety and assets of the company patrons and employees.
  • Responsible for the detention of persons for probable cause for the purpose of notifying law enforcement and/or state gaming officials.
  • Controls and maintains company-wide key controls throughout the property while on duty.
  • Directs Security personnel to specific assigned duties and/or special assignments as needed.
  • Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
  • Manages subordinates who may supervise employees. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit(s).
  • Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Reviews the work activities of subordinate employees to ensure that work is being performed within the standards established by management.

Position Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree preferred and at least three years supervisory or above experience in a high-volume complex casino, hotel or public arena environment. Must have excellent PC, planning and organizational, communication and delegation skills. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas and to make independent decisions. A valid driver's license in good standing is required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels, maybe exposed to secondhand smoke except and varied light levels, including flashing lights. Ability to stand, walk, bend for entire shift.
