Job summary

Las Vegas, Nevada-based MGM Resorts International seeks an On-Call Corporate Security Services Officer to join a highly trained team protecting a safe, secure workplace at corporate offices. You will respond to emergencies, monitor surveillance, and support life safety while delivering excellent service to guests and staff.

Role requires specialized training, strong situational awareness, and physical readiness, with shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• One year of guest services experience.
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guest and employee service and resolve issues.
• Monitor alarm systems and surveillance cameras.
• Patrol property using bicycle or company vehicle.
• Secure emergency scenes and coordinate evacuations if needed.
• Write daily activity and incident reports.
• Attend required training including first aid and CPR/AED.
• Maintain proficiency with all assigned equipment.

THE JOB

As an On-Call Corporate Security Services Officer, you’ll be part of a highly trained team dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment at our corporate offices. Acting as a visible presence and first line of response, you’ll play a critical role in addressing security concerns, responding to emergencies, and supporting life safety efforts.

THE STARTING RATE:

$20.00 Hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Provide excellent service to guests and employees; help resolve any complaints or issues
• Watch over alarm systems and surveillance cameras
• Patrol and monitor all areas of the property, including the outside, using a bicycle or company vehicle
• Secure emergency scenes to prevent more damage or harm, alert others to danger, call emergency responders, and lead evacuations if needed
• Write reports about daily activities and any unusual events, such as damage, theft, or accidents
• Use phones or two-way radios to send and receive messages, including emergency calls
• Attend and pass all required training, including legal, defensive tactics, first aid, and CPR/AED
• Stay skilled in using all assigned equipment

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• One (1) year of previous guest services experience, preferably in a similar resort setting
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
