Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year combined experience in Security, First Responder, Law Enforcement, Corrections, or Military.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must obtain and maintain current BLS, CPR and First Aid within 1 year of employment.
• OLCC Permit at time of hire.
• Ability to work unsupervised and multitask within time constraints.
• Must possess gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Security Supervisor in admin tasks and Team Member training and support.
• Provides and receives first level communication to/from Security Officers.
• Ensures compliance with Security policies and Gaming Regulations and reports issues timely.
• Keeps management informed of matters affecting the department and staff.
• Participates in security operations including special events.
• Provides personal protection to Tribal Members, Team Members and guests.
• Monitors for unauthorized removal of property.
• Responds to accidents and injuries, administers first aid, and writes reports.
• Enforces Tribal, City, County, State and Federal laws as applicable.
• Inspects fire suppression equipment daily; notes safety hazards.
• Maintains incident and property damage records with confidentiality.
• Guards transfer of money and chips during drops and communicates with surveillance.
• During the drop, manages cans and radio communications.
• Administers workplace alcohol and drug tests as needed.
• Performs other duties as directed by management.

The Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Security Supervisor in overseeing all security issues on tribal property while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all Tribal Members, guests and Team Members as well as protecting Three Rivers Casino assets, and those assets on other Tribal properties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists the Security Supervisor in administrative tasks and Team Member training and support as needed.
• Provides and receives first level communication to and from Security Officers in order to ensure information is sufficient to complete their daily tasks.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all Security regulatory policies and procedures, MICS, Gaming Regulations and requirements, reporting any issues to management timely.
• Ensures that Management is informed of all matters that affect the company, department or personnel in a timely manner.
• Participates in all assigned security operations which may rotate on a day to day basis, including special events.
• Provides personal protection to Tribal Members, Team Members and guests.
• Monitors all activities for unauthorized removal of property.
• Responds to accidents and injuries, administering first-aid as needed, and writing accurate, detailed reports in a timely manner.
• Enforces all Tribal, City, County, State, and Federal Laws and ordinances as applicable.
• Inspects fire suppression equipment on a daily basis to ensure successful operation.
• Inspects all areas for safety and fire hazards and file reports as required.
• Maintains records regarding incidents of theft, injury, property damage etc., while protecting confidentiality.
• Takes all necessary steps to protect tribal assets.
• Generates written reports on all incidents as directed by the security policies and procedures.
• Guards transfer of money and chips from casino pit to main cage.
• During the drop, ensures that hot and cold cans are not mixed, remains with the drop cart/trolley at all times, receives full drop cans, dispenses empty drop cans, and provides all radio communication between the drop team and surveillance.
• Administers workplace alcohol & drug tests as needed.
• Other duties as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time. This position is determined to have a potential for possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

QualificationsEXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY

• Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have 1-year combined experience in Security, First Responder, Law Enforcement, Corrections, or Military.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• General understanding of computer programs, including all windows applications required.
• Must obtain and maintain current BLS, CPR and First Aid (or higher) certification within 1 year of employment.
• Must obtain Defensive Tactics certification within 1 year of employment.
• Must have an OLCC Permit at the time of hire.
• Have the ability to work unsupervised and multitask within time constraints.
• Have the ability to independently analyze, trouble shoot and resolve problems.
• Must obtain and maintain proper certification to administer alcohol & drug tests.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
• Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
• Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
• Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to exchange information efficiently using an earpiece on a multichannel radio.
• Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours.
• Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.
