Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Personnel Screener in West Palm Beach, FL. Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct entry screening of persons and belongings.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and access credentials; direct to entry points or staff.
• Respond calmly to alarms, incidents, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and policies at a government location.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct entry screening of persons and permitted belongings in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and access credentials; direct individuals to appropriate entry points or staff contacts.
• Respond to alarms, prohibited-item discoveries, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as required.
• Maintain accurate screening-related logs and reports, and communicate observed concerns or unusual activity to site leadership and/or law enforcement personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
