Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Identity Verification in McDonough, GA. The role involves screening individuals and materials, managing access control at a logistics site, and reporting security concerns to maintain a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site policies, including verifying identification, credentials, and authorization for entry.
• Monitor entry and exit points, shipping and receiving areas, and vehicle traffic to help support controlled access and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and warehouse areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
