Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Identity Verification) in McDonough, GA to safeguard clients across multiple industries. You will screen individuals and materials, monitor access points, and report concerns while delivering professional customer service to clients, visitors, and employees.

Position is Full Time with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. A background check and drug screen are required; CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access-control requirements.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel per site policies, verifying IDs and authorization.
• Monitor entry/exit points, shipping/receiving areas and vehicle traffic to support controlled access and deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, documenting observations and notifying site contacts or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities including perimeter, parking, loading docks, and warehouse areas.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site policies, including verifying identification, credentials, and authorization for entry.
• Monitor entry and exit points, shipping and receiving areas, and vehicle traffic to help support controlled access and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and warehouse areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
