Job summary

Story Land is hiring a Seasonal Security Screener to operate metal detectors, perform bag checks, and maintain a safe, welcoming park environment. You will interact with guests professionally, report suspicious activity, and assist during emergencies with established protocols.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, attention to detail, and collaboration with other security personnel. Prior security experience is valued; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• College degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline desired.
• 1+ year security or related experience is highly desired.
• Language: fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate metal detectors and conduct thorough bag checks to prevent entry of unauthorized items.
• Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with guests during screening.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity or security breaches to authorities.
• Assist in emergencies by following established protocols and providing clear instructions to guests and staff.
• Prepare detailed security reports and logs; collaborate with security hosts for coordinated responses.
