Job summary

DLA Careers is seeking a Security and Systems Engineer at Maxwell AFB to lead IT and information management, support SATCOM, and ensure continuity of operations across mission-critical systems.

The role requires a Top Secret clearance with SCI/SAP access, experience with Ku-band SATCOM, RF-over-fiber, and enterprise IT support, including desktops, VoIP, and VTC, with an emphasis on high-availability networks.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience in telecommunications systems.
• Experience designing and managing SATCOM and RF networks.
• Experience providing IT systems administration and executive support.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT and information management system administration for the assigned site.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of SATCOM Ground Entry Point.
• Provide full-spectrum support for desktops, VoIP, VTC, and critical information systems.
• Manage HF, VHF, UHF, Ku-band SATCOM and RF-over-fiber networks.
• Develop and implement long-range telecom strategies and continuity plans.
