NextPlay Jobs in Denver seeks a Security Sales Engineer to drive growth in commercial security, selling access control, IP video, and VMS solutions to complex environments such as laboratories and data centers.
This role blends technical credibility with sales acumen, collaborating onsite with project teams to review plans, develop proposals, and close opportunities across the Denver market. Commission-based earnings offer strong growth potential.
A growing commercial security practice is looking for a Security Sales Engineer to help take the business to its next level.
This is an opportunity for someone who knows commercial security, enjoys the technical side of the business and wants more than a traditional account-management role.
You’ll be selling solutions — not just products — across access control, door entry and IP-based video systems for some seriously complex environments.
Think laboratories. Data centers. Manufacturing. Higher education. Stadiums.
This company has been integrating complex building systems for decades and has built an established Denver operation with the people, customers and infrastructure to support continued growth.
The security business is expanding, and they're looking for someone who can help drive that growth.
You won't be walking into a company trying to figure out whether there's a market for commercial security.
The customers are there.
The projects are there.
The opportunity is there.
Now they need someone who knows how to win the business.
We're looking for someone who can sit across the table from a customer and do more than talk about features.
You should be able to understand the problem, ask the right questions, develop an appropriate solution and explain why it makes sense.
Experience with commercial access control, video surveillance, VMS, electronic security or integrated security systems is important.
Experience with IP-based security systems and complex commercial environments is a strong plus.
You don't have to be an engineer or programmer — but you do need to be technically credible.
You might come from a background such as:
We're especially interested in people who have sold into complex commercial or enterprise environments rather than residential security.
You get the best of both worlds.
The resources and financial backing of a larger organization with the autonomy and feel of an entrepreneurial business.
You'll work alongside experienced project managers, technicians and programmers rather than being expected to figure everything out yourself.
And you'll have the opportunity to help grow a security practice that is already gaining traction.
The compensation package is designed around the experience and production of the individual we hire.
Additional benefits include:
This is an onsite role because collaboration matters.
You'll work directly with sales, project management, technicians and programmers. The Denver team values people who communicate well, move quickly and take ownership without needing to be micromanaged.
If you're good at security sales but want a more technical, sophisticated opportunity — with complex projects, strong internal support and meaningful earning potential — this could be a very good next move.
