Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Cottage Grove, MN is seeking a Security Officer to protect people and property across site operations. Duties include patrols, responding to emergencies, and utilizing access control, CCTV and fire systems to maintain safety and security.

You will interact with guests and employees, report incidents, and support security program improvements under leadership oversight. Valid First aid/CPR and driving ability are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in physical security or operations center.
• First aid and CPR certified or able to certify after hire.
• Knowledge of physical security technology and computer systems.
• Ability to build relationships across levels of staff and leadership.
• Must be able to drive company vehicle.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service.
• Able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Able to sit, walk and stand for extended periods.
• Able to climb ladders and work at various heights.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide patrols on foot and by vehicle to ensure safety of employees, guests and facilities.
• Interact with guests, vendors, contractors and employees to uphold brand experience.
• Respond to emergencies and non-emergency situations following procedures.
• Document and report information to internal and external partners.
• Manage gatehouse logistics for inbound/outbound processes (selected locations).
• Utilize security tech to protect teams, facilities and assets.
• Monitor fire protection and safety systems.
• Operate access control, CCTV and related security systems.
• Support projects for continuous improvement of Corporate Security program.
• Coordinate aspects of the security program as directed by leadership.
• Collaborate with HR, Facilities and Security teams on investigations and security matters.
• Provide security support for elevated risk issues.
• Handle site-specific projects, events or access requests as assigned.
