Job summary

Nashville Zoo is seeking a Safety & Security Manager to lead emergency medical, security, tram, and parking teams while upholding the park's safety standards. This full-time role reports to the Director of Environmental Health & Safety and requires coordinating response efforts during incidents with calm, decisive judgment.

The position emphasizes creating and maintaining safety programs, performing regular audits, and ensuring coverage for daily operations and special events at the zoo.

Qualifications

• Provides direction, supervision, and oversight to emergency medical, security, tram driver, and parking staff.
• Ensures weekly facility safety audits and safety equipment inspections.
• Experience in emergency medical response and incident reporting.
• Ability to supervise staff and maintain park safety coverage.

Responsibilities

• Creates schedules for EMT, Security, Tram Driver, and Parking staff.
• Maintains regular attendance and professional conduct at all times.
• Completes guest and staff medical and incident reports with timely follow-up.
• Supports the Nashville Zoo Emergency Plan and Environmental Safety Programs.
• Work hours vary with zoo operating hours and events.
