Qualifications

• CPR Instructor Certification is preferred.
• 20 hours of unarmed security instructor training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen per policy.
• Employment contingent on nationwide criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Instructs in security and protective services in a regular classroom setting.
• Promotes a positive classroom atmosphere to maximize student motivation and learning.
• Instructs on the designated Security & Protective Services curriculum per Job Corps requirements.
• Counsels and motivates students regarding behavior and study habits.
• Individualizes curriculum to fit students' vocational choices and coordinates with counselors.
• Prepares reports such as hours, requisitions, and evaluations.
• Collaborates with the BCL-WBL Coordinator to implement Work-Based Learning programs.
