Job summary

Constellis is seeking a Full-Time Armed Security Protective Officer to safeguard client sites in the Herndon area (zip 20151 and 22060). The role requires 24/7 coverage and weekend availability, with a starting pay of $43.51 per hour plus $4.23 per hour for Health and Welfare.

You will deter unauthorized access, respond to emergencies, monitor security systems, and manage access to secured areas. The successful candidate will have at least a high school diploma, U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain TS-SCI-CI Poly clearance.
• US Citizenship required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid U.S. state-issued driver's license.
• No domestic violence convictions (Lautenberg compliance).
• Two years of service in the U.S. Armed Forces.
• Two years of experience in physical security or related security experience.
• Associate degree or higher in a security-related or law enforcement field.
• Completion of a police officer basic training academy.
• Three years of experience as a security officer.

Compensation

• Pay Range: Starting at $43.51.
• Plus, an extra $4.23 for Health and Welfare.

Responsibilities

• Deter and report unauthorized access.
• Prevent and respond to emergencies.
• Monitor and respond to security systems.
• Identify and report hazardous conditions.
• Manage access to secured areas—because some doors are meant to stay closed.
• Enforce site security regulations.
• Document incidents and investigations—every detail matters.
• Responding to medical emergencies—your quick thinking could make all the difference.
• Manage keys and safe/vault combinations.
• Conduct facility patrols—exploring is part of the job!
• Engage in specialized duties with K-9 teams, Bike Patrol, Emergency Response, and Security Operations—where no day is ever the same
• Business work hours are 24/7, and weekend availability is required.
• Work is typically based on a busy environment and subject to frequent interruptions.
• May be subject to outdoor conditions including extreme temperatures and weather.
• Subject to high noise levels.
• Heavy work: Exerting up to 200 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Must have visual and audio acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment, machines such as fire equipment and apparatuses, firearms and clearing barrels.
• Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
• May be required to be fitted for and/or wear a respirator.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, often without breaks, and may be required to climb stairs or ladders and walk-up inclines and on uneven terrain.

Qualifications

Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance Required: TS-SCI-CI Poly. Don't worry; candidates may be considered for sponsorship if they meet our preferred qualifications.
