Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a Security Manager/Facility Security Officer to lead a medium security team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with NISPOM and DCSA standards across multiple sites. The role oversees the security program for unclassified, CUI, and collateral programs, coordinating with program leadership to meet contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Industrial Security across DOD, IC and NISPOM (Collateral, SCI and SAP)
• 3+ years of demonstrated management/leadership experience in National Security classified programs
• Current DoD Top Secret level security clearance
• FSO Possessing Certification and Insider Threat Program Senior Official Training
• Experience with security-related training (Initial Security Briefings, Insider Threat, CI awareness, OPSEC)
• Experience in constructing secure spaces (Closed Areas, SCIFs, SAPF)

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and professional development for security professionals
• Manage integration of industrial security initiatives and ensure contract compliance while meeting business goals
• Participate in investigation of security incidents and assist with disciplinary and legal matters
• Maintain security documentation/files per DCSA requirements
• Maintain Facility Security Clearance (FCL) documentation and submission per DCSA requirements
• Maintain DD-254s including sub-DD254s
• Provide and document new employee security briefings, exit interviews and debriefings
• Maintain classified holdings and prepare classified transmittals per NISPOM
• Oversee annual refresher training and DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessments
• Experience with classification management processes and classification guides for DoD/IC
• Create and use Security Classification Guides
• Maintain working relationship with DCSA or other Federal Agencies and contract security offices
• Perform daily security activities and enforce policies
• Collaborate with Government/Industry Security Organizations
