Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Program Manager for a 12+ month contract hybrid role in downtown Chicago. The focus is on network security projects within a large, complex program.

Responsibilities include establishing governance, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with PMI standards, IT controls, and regulatory requirements. Prior experience in financial services and consulting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with large, complex application projects that include infrastructure components.
• Experience at large financial services firms is a plus.
• Consulting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the project adheres to PMI standards, IT controls, risk and regulatory requirements, and Northern policies and procedures throughout the project.
• Establish and maintain the project team with the right skill sets and experience to ensure success.
• Enable a “no surprises” project culture.
• Establish the project governance structure with clearly defined roles, responsibilities and resource assignments; identify required skill sets.
• Identify the appropriate sign-off parties for each project artifact requiring approval.
• Create and maintain the project plan throughout the project lifecycle.
• Actively manage project risks and issues with owners addressing them timely.
• Manage to the requirements management plan (traceability and change control) for the project per standards.
• Ensure vendor Statements of Work are fulfilled on the project where applicable.
• Facilitate and execute project closure activities (lessons learned, post-implementation review, financial turnover to production/support).

The Program Manager will oversee this project, which will focus on network security projects.

Qualifications:

• Experienced in large, complex application projects with an infrastructure component
• Experience at large financial services firms a plus
• Consulting experience also a plus

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that the project adheres to Project Standards, which incorporate PMI standards, I.T. controls, risk and regulatory requirements, and Northern policies and procedures, throughout the project
• Is responsible for establishing and maintaining the project team assembled for the project with the right skill sets and experience in place to ensure the success of the project.
• Enables a “no surprises” project culture
• Establishes the project governance structure with clearly defined roles, responsibilities and resource assignments. Identifies and communicates skill sets needed of the project team resources
• Is responsible for identifying the appropriate parties who must sign off on each project artifact that requires a sign off
• Creates and maintains the project plan throughout the life of the project that reflects the work that needs to occur to support the delivery of the project’s goals, objectives and business outcomes
• Actively manage project risks and issues ensuring that the owners of those risks and issues are addressing them in a timely manner.
• Is responsible for managing to the requirements management plan (requirements traceability and requirements change control) for the project consistent with standards.
• Ensures Statements of Work are being fulfilled by vendors participating on the project (if applicable)
• Facilitates and executes the project closure activities, e.g., lessons learned report, post implementation review, close down the financial reporting and formal turnover of the support to production support and operations
