Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed) in Redmond, WA. You will patrol manufacturing and other areas, maintain a visible presence, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

Position is part-time with a pay rate of $24.75 per hour. You can build a flexible schedule via our shift platform and join a leading team focused on safety and service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and support controlled entry procedures for personnel and vendors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response activities and notification protocols.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, access concerns, and other security‑related activities through accurate reports and shift communications.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
