As a **Security Professional - Retail Patrol** in **San Jose, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will contribute to a positive environment by working collaboratively with others and upholding the values of agility, reliability, and integrity.

**Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour**

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including both the interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.

+ Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.

+ Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures.

+ Support emergency response activities and coordinate with local authorities or site management when necessary.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ A valid driver's license in the job state is required for driving positions.

+ A valid driver's license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements is required for driving positions.

+ California Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.

+ A valid guard card or license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
