As a Security Professional - Unarmed Healthcare in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. You will be expected to respond promptly to situations, assist with access control, and communicate clearly with both the public and your team. This position requires driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and helping to maintain a secure environment for all individuals on the premises.
• Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and/or providing directions to emergency personnel as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or security-related concerns as required by site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only, and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
