Job Description

As a Security Professional - Distribution Site in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help prevent incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This post may require an armed guard card/license. You will contribute to a positive environment by acting with integrity, working as part of a team, and putting people first in all interactions.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following access control procedures and site-specific policies at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the food and beverage facility.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the location.
• Document and report security-related incidents and observations according to site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Possession of a Florida Security Professional (SP) Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Possession of an Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
