Job Description

As a Security Professional - Access Control in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a leading technology environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and providing excellent customer service and communication to all personnel and visitors. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. This role is essential in supporting a secure and welcoming atmosphere for everyone at the location.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by following access control procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a technology-focused environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for personnel and assets.
• Document and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents according to established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A guard card or security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
