Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer in Salt Lake City. You will use our shift-pickup platform to view and claim shifts that fit your availability, gaining site experience across healthcare, education, finance, and more.

The role offers flexible scheduling with potential irregular shifts and growth opportunities. Must have a valid driver's license, a clean record, and open availability; high school diploma or 5 years of experience required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check required in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed).
• Reliability and adaptability to different posts.
• Operate radio/telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with the public.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions and report security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department when needed.
• Monitor entrances and exits; permit authorized access.
• Maintain logs and prepare reports on incidents.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Provide emergency notifications as per site orders.
