Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to serve clients across Healthcare, Education, Finance and more. You will view and claim open shifts using our exclusive shift-pickup platform, building a schedule that fits your availability while gaining site experience across industries.

Pay rate is USD $23.00/hr. The role may require irregular shifts on short notice and involves on-site responsibilities with a strong emphasis on safety, accountability, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen required.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed).
• Reliable and adaptable to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or consoles.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Ability to mediate conflicts with tact and diplomacy.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, etc.).
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft and ensure proper property removal.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
