Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for the Pilesgrove, NJ area. The role requires patrolling, monitoring entrances, and responding to incidents with a professional demeanor.

You will use our shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on availability, gaining diverse site experience across industries. Applicant must be able to walk long distances, be proficient with computers, and meet standard background and drug screening requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license if driving company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check required; qualified applicants with criminal histories considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 if armed).
• Reliability and adaptability to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Active listening and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or contact police or fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rules and restrict entering areas as required.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and incidents; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
