Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Security Posture Analyst I to join our Cyber Threat Exposure Management program. You will monitor, analyze, and report on the security posture across on-premises, cloud, SaaS and security technology environments to enable risk-based decisions.

The role requires 2–4 years of cybersecurity or IT experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of cybersecurity/IT/risk management experience.
• Experience through internships, co-ops, military service, or related roles preferred.
• Exposure to vulnerability management, cloud security, security monitoring, identity security, endpoint security, attack surface management, or security reporting platforms is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the security posture of on-premises, cloud, SaaS, identity, endpoint, network, and application environments to identify exposure, control weaknesses, configuration drift, and emerging risks.
• Develop, maintain, and publish security posture scorecards, dashboards, KPIs, KRIs, trend analysis, and management reporting.
• Analyze vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, exposed assets, and control deficiencies to prioritize remediation using threat intelligence and business impact.
• Correlate, validate, and analyze information across security, cloud, and threat intel platforms to ensure accurate risk representation.
• Oversee remediation activities and track exposure reduction, supporting governance and compliance with SLAs.
• Support regulatory, audit, risk management, and internal assessment activities through posture reporting and evidence collection.
