Job summary

Jack Link’s seeks a Cybersecurity Platform Engineer to lead development and enhancement of enterprise security platforms, focusing on Microsoft Defender, Purview, cloud security, and IAM. The role partners with IT and security teams to mature controls across cloud, endpoint, and data protection environments.

The candidate will implement automated solutions, governance, and documentation to ensure scalable security operations and measurable risk reduction, with cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity or IT.
• 4+ years engineering, administering, or improving cybersecurity platforms across Microsoft security, cloud security, IAM, endpoint, data protection, or operations.
• Strong foundation in cybersecurity platform engineering including automation and incident response support.
• Proficient with Microsoft Defender, Purview, Entra ID, Intune, AD, Sentinel and 365 security capabilities.
• Experience with log analysis, alert tuning, dashboards, and secure configuration baselines.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering, administration, and improvement of Defender capabilities and related integrations.
• Design and mature Purview capabilities for data protection and governance.
• Engineer cloud security controls across Azure and 365 environments, including posture management and remediation tracking.
• Lead IAM engineering activities including Entra ID, AD, Conditional Access, and privileged access management.
• Develop automation and integrations to improve security platform reliability and consistency.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
