Job summary

Allied Universal in Asheville, NC seeks a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver. The role involves patrolling, assisting personnel and visitors, and maintaining a visible security presence at an aerospace/defense site.

The position includes unarmed duties, shift coverage, and a strong emphasis on safety and service. The candidate will monitor access, respond to incidents, document activities, and coordinate with site leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license in the job location.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).
• Background check and drug screen required per law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report accordingly.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials, and document activity per site requirements.
• Complete accurate activity, incident, and shift reports for leadership.
