Job summary

New York Racing Association (NYRA) seeks a Security Supervisor to lead the Security Department, overseeing shift security for the track facility, backstretch, and racing operations. You will manage sergeants and frontline officers, ensure policy and NYSGC compliance, and coordinate responses to incidents.

The role requires a bachelor's degree or 7+ years security experience, IMS proficiency, and a flexible schedule including nights and holidays across Belmont Park and Saratoga facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field, or 7+ years of security experience.
• Experience with incident investigation, asset protection, and emergency response.
• Proficient with Incident Management Systems (IMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid, clean driver’s license.
• Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays; travel between NYRA facilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise sergeants and direct field officers across shifts.
• Coordinate operations and ensure effective communication via JOC.
• Review officer reports in IMS for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee equipment accountability and maintenance.
• Escalate critical incidents to senior security leadership.
• Support investigations with escort duties when required.
