Job summary

Strategic Education, Inc. is seeking a Senior Information Security Leader to guide day‑to‑day operations of a security analytics team and coordinate with IT, security leadership, and business stakeholders. You will drive rapid containment and continuous improvement of security practices across the organization.

The role focuses on building a robust security program, managing risk, and delivering measurable security outcomes while aligning with industry frameworks and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive information security experience with leadership across multiple security disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel occasionally; able to work onsite or remote as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Information Security Analysts monitoring and responding to alerts and incidents.
• Partner with IT and business leaders to execute the enterprise security strategy.
• Oversee governance, risk, compliance activities and ISMS alignment.
• Develop security metrics and reporting for senior leadership.
• Mentor and develop staff; foster proactive security culture.
• Ensure readiness for audits and regulatory requirements.
