Job summary

Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA is seeking an Assistant Security Manager to oversee security shift operations across locations. This full-time role requires directing daily security activities, coordinating with departments, and coordinating with first responders during events.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in security with supervisory experience, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of CCTV and emergency response procedures. Availability for weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills; fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Security license (VA/DC/MD) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of security or safety experience with supervisory or managerial responsibility; law enforcement/military background preferred.
• Familiarity with CCTV and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to walk, stand, patrol on foot, and climb stairs; lift up to 45 lbs.
• Availability for holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security shift operations and supervise staff for peak performance.
• Monitor club premises including clubhouse, facilities, and parking areas.
• Serve as primary contact for security incidents involving members, guests, and staff.
• Adapt procedures to maintain appropriate security posture.
• Lead investigations and incident reporting with timely, accurate documentation.
• Enforce SOPs and adjust tactics based on activity and staffing.
• Ensure post orders and emergency action plans are followed by supervisors.
• Comply with safety regulations, club policies, and local laws.
• Mentor security staff on proactive protocols and emergency readiness.
• Coordinate with other departments during events for traffic and access control.
• Monitor access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, and other security systems.
• Perform other duties for the Office of Safety & Security or represent leadership as needed.
