Job summary

McCarthy Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Security Operations Team Lead to manage daily security operations, guide incident response, and coordinate with MDR providers.

You will mentor engineers, oversee alert triage, and drive continuous improvement in security practices across the organization. The role requires 3+ years in cybersecurity and leadership experience, with hands-on expertise in enterprise IT, cloud technologies, and threat detection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in cybersecurity or security operations.
• Minimum 3 years in people or project management preferred.
• Experience leading or coordinating technical personnel.
• Experience with security monitoring, endpoint protection, identity security, incident response, threat hunting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and prioritize the Security Operations team’s daily work and projects.
• Serve as the first escalation point for security alerts and investigations.
• Coach and develop Security Operations Engineers.
• Provide hands-on support with alert triage, incident response, and threat hunting.
• Oversee coordination with MDR providers and service quality.
• Participate in incident response activities (Detect, Respond, Recover).
• Maintain and improve security runbooks, procedures, and escalation paths.
• Contribute to security assessments, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
