Job summary

UW–Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences seeks an Information Security Analyst II to monitor threats, support endpoint security, and coordinate incident response. You will work with CALS IT to uphold data confidentiality, integrity, and availability across the college.

The role requires at least one year of cybersecurity experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth, with day-to-day work in CALS IT services for students, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications

• 1 year of cybersecurity experience including vulnerability management and incident response.
• Experience with endpoint security controls and malware remediation.
• Ability to document processes and communicate with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability-scanning analysis and test security controls.
• Represent CALS in the cybersecurity community at UW Madison.
• Develop and modify cybersecurity tools and support staff on security questions.
• Process security change requests including privileged access.
• Report security concerns and escalate incidents to senior staff.
• Assist in creating divisional security policies and training.
• Monitor daily operations with IDS/IPS and assess findings.
